The Clubmaker's Art: Antique Golf Clubs and Their History; Second Edition By far, the best item I saw at the recent 2007 PGA show in Orlando was this two-volume book set titled The Clubmaker's Art: Antique Golf Clubs and Their History; Second Edition Revised and Expanded. Containing 784 10" x 13" pages, this oversize set weighs in at an incredible 15 and a half pounds! And its presentation is stunning. The Clubmaker's Art Second Edition contains over 1250 large color pictures of antique golf clubs selected from the most creative, innovative, and historic clubs ever crafted. Every page is a revelation, containing one or more absolutely beautiful images of what I can only describe as incredible artifacts! These are not your run-of-the-mill hickory shaft garage sale fare. These are your $1,000 - $10,000 - $100,000 serious antiques! The Clubmaker's Art Second Edition is much larger than the single volume first edition, which was named by Florida Golf Magazine to its list of the top 10 golf books ever written, and TCA2 contains everything that was in the first edition plus over 220 additional clubs and 450 new images. The Clubmaker's Art Second Edition is not available in bookstores. It can only be ordered from the publisherZephyr Productions, Inc. (toll free 1-888-394-9333 or visit www.clubmakersart.com). It is easily worth the effort and the $275 price. The first edition was published in 1997 and sold out within a few years. It now commands over $500 a copy when you can find one. At 2500 copies, the print run for the second edition is only about half that of the first edition. No doubt, this edition will sell out and then quickly increase in value. Investment ideas aside, TCA2 is an amazing production that opens up the history of the game in a most fascinating way. |

Sure Putt Cup | |||||||||
Walter Travis, winner of the 1904 British Amateur, taught Walter Hagen, Bobby Jones, and many other pros and amateurs the art of putting. Travis was famous for practicing putting hours on end, draining putts into holes that were a mere three inches in diameter, so when he took his ground game to the course, the hole looked like a bushel basket. He would often drop four balls on the points of the compass, two feet away from the hole. When he sank them all he would move back a foot and try again, repeating the procedure until he didn't miss from every distance up to ten feet. The Sure Putt Cup is 3" in diameter compared to the 4 1/4" regulation cup and provides a smaller target for the serious practice and warm-up before each round. The smaller Sure Putt Cups can be installed into the practice putting green at your club for |

use by all golfers for practicing putting. The Sure Putt Cup is GUARANTEED to improve a golfers confidence in the short putting game when following the directions on the 6" x 8" instructional sign, or money will be refunded. Equipment Included: |

Tour Edge Bazooka Max Driver | |||||||
Designed to maximizing moment of inertia (MOI) by geometry, the GeoMax eliminates twisting without a funny looking shape. Its to-the-limit breadth ratio, the measurement of the face from heel to toe divided by the distance from face to back is as high as .974. This ratio helps increase the forgiveness and dramatically increases the MOI compared to traditional drivers. Coming in at a whopping 5,000 g/cm2, the GeoMax's MOI is higher than the Nike Sasquatch Sumo at 4,950 g/cm2 and the Adams Insight BUL at 4,950. Further enhancing the MOI, the GeoMax's cg location is moved deeper and lower by a 20-gram tungsten weight in the rear of the sole. This helps attain the high MOI without the square shape. According to David Glod, president and founder of Tour Edge Golf, "The GeoMax is designed to rival the performance of square shaped drivers but with an eye-appealing design and a classic sound not found in the competition's composite drivers. It delivers one of the highest MOI's in a driver for remarkable forgiveness that will keep you in the fairway and out of the rough." The GeoMax's 460cc lightweight 6A4V all titanium construction enhances trampoline effect off the face and produces a hot launch for longer drives. Further enhancing distance and control, the driver features a Grafalloy shaft based on the Pro Launch profile. The GeoMax Grafalloy shaft increases tip release power for a quicker, hotter launch. Available in men's and women's right and left handed. Standard shaft is the Bazooka GeoMax Ultra-light by Grafalloy (L, A, R, S, X) with the new Tour Edge T logo tacky rubber grip. Lofts: 9, 10.5, 12, 14, 16 in right hand, Left hand 10.5 only MAP: $199 USD; For more in fo visit www.touredge.com |

The eyeLock Putter In 2007 the eyeLock Putter was launched with it's "eye locking" ability that actually provides superior alignment to the player. The alignment process is incorporated into the three back rails of the putter with brilliant sight lines using a patented edge glowing resin insert. EyeLock Putters are engineered with a low center of gravity that encourages pure forward roll, and optimal MOI for a very high resistance to twisting. As if that wasn't enough, the EyeLock Putter also incorporates a light emitting compound with edge-glow properties into a highly visible light emitting guidance system that draws the eye's peripheral field of vision, steadying the head, and allowing the golfer's hands and eyes to act in unison, resulting in hand / eye coordination like a professional. Internal reflection within the insert refocuses the light, emitting it more intensely along edges, thereby creating a glowing effect. The Edge glow compound absorbs UV light and re-emits that energy in longer wavelengths. Effectively changing more non-visible light to a visible wavelength. EyeLock Putters make use of the edge glow properties by installing gun-like sight lines into an aluminum clad putter. Manufactured with openings in the sides of the three barrel backs, allowing light to penetrate and be absorbed by the thermoplastic compound. The light is then emitted along the edges of the three polycarbonate inserts, producing three lighted, straight focal points for the golfer. The MFSP for the eyeLock Putter is $149.95.
