Linde Werdelin Introduces The Oktopus II Double Date Titanium Red Oktopus II

Linde Werdelin, friend of the show for years now, is introducing something special to mark the Midsummer time. The company that is specialized in creating true sports timepieces with the ability of adding a diving computer on top of it, is introducing the Oktopus II Double Date Titanium Red.

During last year's Baselworld, Linde Werdelin showed us the Oktopus II already with its double date feature and sporting bright colours like blue and yellow (click here). Besides these blue and yellow timepieces, Linde Werdelin also showed us the titanium version with rose gold accents. Quite an interesting combination for a diver's watch.

So now, Linde Werdelin is adding a 4th version of the Oktopus II Double Date in titanium, a red version. Sporting a bright red rubber bracelet and red accents on the dial and bezel. The two layer dial is very interesting as the lower layer is made with a circular Cote de Gene?ve dial to give the effect of water ripples. The two wheels at 11 and 1 o'clock are laser cut and display the date through the apertures just above the center pinion. The Cote de Genève dial doesn't reveal the date unless they reach the date aperture. The rest of the two red wheels are hidden behind a turbine-looking 'cut?in the dial. The Arabic numerals 9, 3 and 6 are in red as well and using superluminova just like the hands. This ensures perfect readability in the dark.

As you can see, the black ceramic bezel has a satin brushed finish like we see on more classical luxury sports replica watches like the Nautilus and Royal Oak as well, but due to the ceramic use, the Linde Werdelin won't scratch. A neat feature of this fake watch is that the bolts that hold the bezel in place also have red subtly accents. The titanium case has a wonderful finish as well, with satin brushed finishing in the direction of the angled parts.

Linde Werdelin has an easy system to remove or replace straps using their own little tool that will help you to do this yourself, quickly and secure. The red rubber strap can be changed for a black textile strap or a nice alligator strap from the Linde Werdelin collection. These (extra) straps can be ordered through the e-boutique of the brand, being one of the first luxury brands that fully operated their sales on-line (and by themselves).

The Linde Werdelin Oktopus II Double Date Red uses a LW04 customised Dubois Depraz calibre 14580 movement, which has a power reserve of approx. 44 hours. The movement isn't viewable through the caseback, instead they have a solid case back with Oktopus engraving.

Price for this red diver's fake watch is CHF10,200.- Swiss Francs, excluding VAT. Limited to 88 pieces, world wide.
